Extended set of document properties
Because these properties are not available in PowerPoint 4.0, when a PowerPoint 7.0 file containing these properties is saved as a 4.0 file, the properties are lost.
NOTE 1: Properties can be viewed or edited in PowerPoint 7.0 by selecting the 'File' menu and selecting 'Properties'. (The Presentation Properties dialog box appears.)
NOTE 2: Properties can be viewed or edited in PowerPoint 4.0 by selecting the 'File' menu and selecting 'Summary Info...'. (The Summary Info dialog box appears.)
The following 23 document properties exist in PowerPoint 7.0 but NOT in PowerPoint 4.0:

- Type
- Location
- Size
- Created
- Modified
- Accessed
- Attributes (read-only, archive, system, hidden)
- Printed
- Last Saved By
- Revision Number
- Total Editing Time
- Paragraphs
- Words
- Bytes
- Notes
- Hidden Slides
- Multimedia Clips
- Fonts Used
- Presentation Designs
- Slide Titles
NOTE 1: Custom properties created in PowerPoint 7.0 are also lost when saving the file in PowerPoint 4.0. Custom properties can be viewed or edited in PowerPoint 7.0 by selecting the 'File' menu, selecting 'Properties', and choosing the 'Custom' tab. PowerPoint 4.0 does not have custom properties.
NOTE 2: The following 9 document properties, in the standard set, exist in BOTH PowerPoint 7.0 and PowerPoint 4.0: Title, Subject, Author, Keywords, Comments, File Name (MS-DOS Name), Directory (Location), Template, and Slides. These properties can be used in either 7.0 or 4.0 without being lost when saving in the other version.
